People Pay is a fast and safe way to send and receive money person to person. All you need is the email address or mobile phone number of your friends, family or coworkers. If you have previously used Online Bill Pay for person to person payments, you will need to re-establish those payees and payments in People Pay going forward.
People Pay lets you send and receive money through Online and Mobile Banking. It works right from the CapStar Bank Mobile Banking app or from Online Banking. Recipients of text and email payments receive directions on how to claim their money after you send it.
Start by enrolling through your new CapStar Online Banking account.
To set up People Pay, locate the People Pay Icon under the Money Center. Add your contacts (first and last name, email address or mobile phone number).
To make a transfer (payment), select the contact, the amount you want to send, and how you want the payment made (sent via email or mobile phone number, deposit to bank account, sent instantly using PayPal or mail a check). It’s that easy!
